Robinson signed with Bacone College

Recently, Ripley High School Senior Coltyn Robinson signed with Bacone College in Muskogee, Oklahoma to play baseball. As Bacone’s mascot is the Warriors, Robinson will retain his status as a Warrior at Bacone, where he will study sports management.

William Adler Mahaney Shoemake was born at 6:24 a.m., on Sunday, Sept. 27, at St. John’s Hospital, in Tulsa, to Myriah and Ryan Shoemake, of Bristow. William’s maternal grandparents are Steve and Sylvia Thompson and his paternal grandparents are Stuart and Trisha Shoemake; maternal great-grandparents are Leonard and Audrey Vann, Kaye Thompson and Pete Thompson and paternal greatgrandparents are Ray and Billie Mahaney, and Don and Nancy Shoemake.

COVID-19 brings changes to Payne County Fair

The Payne County Fair normally attracts between 25,000 and 30,000 people to Stillwater, but this year those numbers will be less due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Payne County Fair Board previously approved modifi cations to the fair scheduled for Aug.25-29 at the Payne County Expo Center.
