One visit to OU all Patterson needed to make surprising decision

The vision that long had a headlock on Jarrod Patterson escaped him in an instant. Now he’s ready to take down the next challenge of his wrestling career.
Patterson, one of the most decorated wrestlers in Cushing history, this week signed his intentions with the University of Oklahoma. Beginning next August, he will be on scholarship and a student-athlete in Norman.
“I am really glad the whole process is over already,” Patterson said. “The recruiting part is fun but when it comes time to make a decision, it’s not fun at all.”
