Mayor pleading the fifth on charter amendement vote

He is unlike a parent when asked which child he prefers.
John Henckel, chairman of the Cushing Board of Commissioners, has no qualms about what he deems most important among the eight proposed amendments to the city charter.
“I think, without a doubt, Proposition No. 5 is the top priority,” Henckel said. “Inflation has caught us and our charter has become antiquated.”
Proposition No. 5, if approved, would increase the purchasing authority of the board of commissioners from $60,000 to $185,000 without a vote of the people.
