Geneva “Gen” Nadine Reece

OK Geneva “Gen” Nadine Reece was born on October 20, 1930, to Lonnie and Omah Hankins Reece in Yale, OK. She entered eternal rest on January 6,2025, in Stillwater, surrounded by family.

Geneva grew up on the family farm In Yale. When she wasn’t tending to the livestock and crops, she liked to spend time making music with her family. Geneva played the piano and guitar and enjoyed singing. She graduated from Yale High School in 1948, worked In banking, and served as the Executive Director of the Yale Housing Authority.

Geneva married the love of her life, Jack Clawson, on August 9, 1958, at the home of her sister, Kathryn, In Yale. They were married for 35 years and together they raised three wonderful children, Harry, Larry, and Gina. They moved to Freeport, TX for several years before settling in Yale. Geneva and Jack enjoyed farm life, camping, dancing, and playing dominoes; however, most Important to them was time with family. She had a strong Christian belief and made It a priority to share those values with her children, guiding them in faith and compassion. Geneva was a devoted mother to her children and Mamaw to her grandchildren. She cherished time with her brother and two sisters (aka the “Golden Girls”). She also loved playing Bunco with family and friends. Her most notable attributes were her kind demeanor and beautiful smile. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Clawson; son Larry Clawson; parents Lonnie and Omah Reece; and sisters Kathryn Doll and Colleen Hart.

Geneva is survived by her son, Harry Clawson of Yale; daughter Gina Hubbard and husband Scott of Stillwater; and her brother L.D. Reece and wife Kathy of Yale. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Colby Hubbard, Maklnley Hubbard, Shawn Land and husband David, Kenneth Nelson and wife Celia, Jason Nelson, Justin Henlnger and wife, Liz, Joseph Heninger and wife, Wendy, and Tammy Turner; great-grandchildren: Brittany Land and husband Chaz, Taylor Hendricks and husband Trevor, Ashtin Bingham and husband Trey, Austin Turner, Bailey Turner, Danielle Turner, Benjamin Nelson, Grace Nelson, Jameson Henlnger, Cole Henlnger, and Alden Heninger; great-great-grandchildren: Mason Landers, Raelynn Landers, Brynlelgh Hendricks and Crue Bingham.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2025, at Palmer Marler Funeral Home.

Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Crossroads Community Church, 52787 W., OK-51, Jennings, OK 74038. Interment will follow in Underwood Cemetery in Yale, OK.
