Bonnie Jean Smith passed on December 27, 2025. She was born to William and Lucy Bell (Seitz) Brannock (Toots, Nannie) on April 16, 1934 in Pittsburg Kansas. The family moved to Miami, Oklahoma while Bonnie was still young, where they stayed through her high school years.
Bonnie was an avid animal lover, always having horses, dogs and feeding all the stray cats that would come around. Her poodle, Princess was a great comfort to her in recent years. At a younger age, she also had a penchant for fast cars and loved to drive fast. She especially loved children, taking in kids, related or otherwise, and they loved her as much as she loved them. She was kind, caring and easy to love.
A devoted follower of Christ, Bonnie had a strong faith, and loved the Lord, always involved in which ever church she was faithfully attending at the time. With all the hardships she faced, her greatest ability was that she could do all things in Christ and use Him to strengthen herself.
Bonnie married Calvin (Skipper) Smith in 1959. She already had a son, Bill Smith, by a previous marriage, who Calvin adopted and together they had a daughter in 1962, Tami Lynn Smith Parks. Bonnie lived in many towns in Oklahoma, Miami, Tulsa, Medford, OKC, Seiling, Cushing and Grove. She also moved to Chandler to help take care of her grandsons, Brock and Barry.
Most recently residing in Oklahoma City at John H. Johnson Care Suites, she was well cared for. Bonnie held many bookkeeping jobs, but she was most proud of her work of many years for doctors in Tulsa and Cushing.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Bill Brannock and Lucy Lamar, son Bill Smith, daughter Tami Parks and grandson Brock Norman Parks. She is survived by daughter-in-law Cindy Smith, granddaughters Mistie Jackson (great-grandchildren Hannah and Josie) and Tina Smith (great grand-children Autumn and Jax), grandson Barry Lee Parks and wife Maleny (great-grand children Rosalina and Gwyn) and Brocks child, Bradyn (Braleigh) Parks, who Bonnie helped raise.
Memorial service will be held in February, date and location to be determined.
