Neil Ray Cline

Neil Ray Cline was born May 21, 1941, to George William and Mary Avis (Burnett) Cline in Pomona, California. He departed this life on February 24, 2026, in Jacksonville, Florida, at the age of 84 years.

Neil graduated high school in Russellville, Arkansas in 1959 and went on to attend the University of Arkansas.

Neil was united in marriage to Linda Sue Sadler on Dec. 21, 1968. Together they had 3 sons, Chris, Chad, and Craig Cline.

Moving to Cushing in 1967, Neil and his brother, Charles Cline, owned and operated Cherokee Lines for many years. Upon retirement in 1986, Neil & Sue purchased a farm outside of Cushing where Neil would go on to find a new passion in life, cattle ranching. He spent many years working on the farm with his sons and creating lots of family memories. In the late ‘90’s, Neil decided on a new adventure, he and Sue purchased a boat and enjoyed travelling along the east coast from Key West to the Outer Banks with friends and family. In 2003 they purchased a second home in Jacksonville, Florida where their 3 sons and families resided. They split time between Florida and Oklahoma soaking up as much family time as possible. Neil loved his family and enjoyed spending as much time as he could with them.

He was a member of the Cushing Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Sue, sons Chris Cline and wife Barb of Atlantic Beach, FL., Chad Cline and wife Vikki of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. Craig Cline and wife Kate of Jacksonville Beach,Fl. Six Grandchildren, Mackenzie Cline, Miller Cline, Kylie Cline, Colten Cline, Luke Cline, and Maggie Cline.

In addition to his parents, Neil was preceded in death by his brother Charles Cline of Cushing, OK and his sister Carol Wert of Carlisle, PA.

Memorial services will be 1:30 PM on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Cushing Christian Church.
