Billy Ray “Bill” Worthy, 96, of Agra, Oklahoma passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025, at Westhaven Nursing Home in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Bill was born near Cushing, Oklahoma on January 25, 1929, to John and Alta Worthy. He married Etta Herrmann on June 26, 1949, and raised a family in the Agra area. Bill worked as a mason for 32 years while raising cattle and farming his homestead. He also provided a saltwater disposal service for the local oil leases.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Etta Worthy; son Danny Worthy, and daughter-inlaw’s, Sharon Worthy and Loretta Worthy.
He is survived by his sons, Johnny Worthy of Cushing, Mike Worthy of Checotah, Oklahoma; Alan (Kelly) Worthy of Stillwater; his daughter, Diann (Tim) Meyers of Agra; daughter-in-law, Betty Worthy of Agra; 14 grandchildren; 26 greatgrandchildren; and two greatgreat- grandchildren. Visitation was held on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Palmer Marler Funeral Home. Funeral services began at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the Wes McFarland Center in Agra, Oklahoma. Interment followed in Flynn Cemetery.
