Tony Earl Berger

Tony Earl Berger was born July 6, 1953, to Earl and Norma Berger in Cushing, Oklahoma. He departed this life March 24, 2025, at the age of 71.

He graduated from Buhler High School in Buhler, Kansas in 1971 and attended Hutchinson Junior College. He played semi pro baseball in Hutchinson for 2 years as well. He married Kelly Cortner on November 18, 1972, and from that union, 3 children were born.

Tony worked for Jackie Cooper Auto Group as a finance manager for over 20 years, retiring in 2022. He had many things that he enjoyed in his spare time including, officiating numerous sports at all levels. He also enjoyed playing golf, running, and coin collecting. Tony was an avid sports fan, specifically the New York Yankees, Oklahoma Sooners, and the Oklahoma City Thunder. He traveled with his kids and grandkids taking them to games regularly. Above all, he loved his family.

He is survived by two daughters, Kami McMahan and husband Henry, Kyla Ozuna and husband Bryan; one son, Courtney Berger; three siblings, Kim Bradley and husband Terry, Ross Berger and wife Gina, and Kelly Berger and wife Maggi; grandchildren, Kellen McMahan and wife Christy, Kyler Hedrick, Kortni McMahan, Robinson Ozuna, Oliver Ozuna, and Sloan Ozuna. Numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Memorial services were held on Friday, March 28, 2025, at the Cushing First Baptist Church.
