The oil price rally fizzled early Monday as the U.S. dollar strengthened, while China further restricted movement amid a surge of new COVID cases, prompting renewed concerns about oil demand.
As of 4 p.m. Monday, WTI Crude prices were $52.20 a barrel. Brent Crude prices had slipped by 1.11 percent at $55.37, after briefl y topping $56 a barrel on Friday.
