On Wednesday, April 7, a Payne County jury found Aaron Leonard Cook, 39, of Cushing, guilty of lewd molestation and child sexual abuse.
Early in 2017, Cook was arrested and charged, but his fi rst trial in 2019 ended with a hung jury. A second trial, scheduled in 2020 was rescheduled for April 7. Following that trial, the jury convicted Cook and recommended a three year prison sentence.
