Connie Sue (Eastman) Lane, age 59, passed from this life on Sunday May 9, 2021 at her home in Cushing Oklahoma, after a long battle with cancer.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 14, 2021 at the First Presbyterian Church in Newkirk, OK. Interment will follow in the Newkirk Cemetery with Pastor Mark Southard offi ciating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 13, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home in Arkansas City, KS.
Born to Bobbie and Sandra (Henderson) Eastman on September 20, 1961, in Arkansas City. Connie was raised there and graduated from ACHS in 1979.
On April 30, 1983, she married Charles Lane in Newkirk, OK. The Lanes lived in Newkirk for many years before moving to Cushing, OK where they’ve lived since 1994. Over the years, Connie has worked in administration in various medical offi ces, and was still employed at Taguchi Women’s Clinic in Stillwater, OK.
She was an amazing cook and loved tending to her home and spring fl owers. Connie enjoyed weekend trips to Ark City and Newkirk to visit family and friends, and her annual trips to Colorado with Charles. She was devoted to family and was the bright spot in every room. Her infectious laugh will be greatly missed.
Connie is survived by her husband of 38 years, Charles Lane; her mother, Sandra Eastman, brother, Rick Eastman, sisters, Donna (Danny) Wyckoff , Christine Weant, and Deanna Miley, all of Ark City; aunt’s, Beth Richardson and Ruby Eastman; mother-in law, Earlene Lane of Newkirk and brothers-in-law, Mark (Shelley) Lane of Garland, TX and David (Janelda) Lane of Stillwater, OK, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Connie was preceded in death by her father Bobbie D. Eastman; grandparents, Dee and Ella Eastman and Cecil and Meomia Henderson; sister-in-law, Judy Eastman and brother-in-law, David Miley and numerous aunts and uncles.
In lieu of fl owers, a memorial has been established with the First Presbyterian Church of Newkirk, where she and Charles are members. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
