Don Parsons 79, passed away in Cushing on Sunday, May 16, 2021. Don was born in Fairmont, WV on August 13, 1941 to parents Wayne and Mary Parsons.
Don attended junior college in West Virginia majoring in accounting. He worked as an accountant for many years in various medical offi ces in Kansas and Oklahoma.
He met and married Mary Lewis Franklin and made their home in Cushing.
Don was an avid collector and spent much of his retired time collecting baseball, football, and basketball cards, and has a lot of sports memorabilia. He was also a member of the Cushing Masonic Lodge #111.
His survivors are wife, Mary Parsons of the home, three stepdaughters, eight grandkids, thirteen great grandkids and one great great granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
Don will be dearly missed.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 21, 2021 at the Greenwood Cemetery in Yale, OK.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing, OK.
