Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, OK.

Peggy was born on January 18, 1956 in Highland Park, Michigan, to the late Frank and Betty (Bulloch) Alluvot. She grew up in Troy, Michigan, graduating from Rochester Adams High School in 1975. Peggy married the love of her life, Kevin Hoover, on November 8, 1974. They shared a love that was fi ercely strong and only grew as time went on. They went on to make a big move to Cushing with their two children, Peggy and Kurt, where they have resided since.

She started at Wilson Pre-K in 2000, where she would spend 21 years being a teacher’s aide. She had a love for working with children and truly cared for her students like her own. Peggy loved her grandkids so deeply and was always ready to host a swim party or chase down the ice cream truck for them. She proudly wore her “Nana” sweatshirts, ordered every “Nana” decoration, and was extremely proud of her family. She loved Jesus, Christmas, riding horses, anything to do with family, and coff ee. Her snowman collection was something she was so proud of and excited to show off each year during the holidays. Anyone who knew Peggy had a good belly laugh at least once from her hilarious personality. She attended Life.Church in Stillwater, OK where she especially enjoyed the praise and worship.

Peggy was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer in 2011, but she never let that slow her down. She was a member of the Cancer Fighters at the Cancer Treatment Center of America, where she enjoyed her care and met so many of her incredible friends. During her battle with cancer, she cared for her husband who also battled cancer and passed in 2016. Peggy was a strong woman with so much fi ght in her, she went on to fi ght her battle until 2021. No matter the battle she faced, Peggy had a positive attitude and said “God’s got this.” She will be extremely missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by daughter Peggy Fowler and husband Khris of Cushing, son Kurt Hoover and wife Samantha of Cushing. Brother: Bruce Alluvot and wife Joan of Michigan. Grandchildren: Hayley, Laycee, Sydney, Kevin, Dusti, Luke, Kaylee, Karson, Konner, and Austin. Great grandchildren: Kanezly, Kade, Jayse, Karter, Jozlynn, Kannon, Klover, Jayden.
