Born in Cushing, OK on January 27, 1939 to Onie F. and Ruby V. (Esco) Osborne, David was raised and educated in Drumright and attended Drumright Public Schools. In November of 1955, David enlisted in the United States Air Force and faithfully served his country for over eight years. He received his honorable discharge in January of 1963. For most of David’s work career he was a bus driver for Continental Trailways. It was a career that not only allowed him to provide for his family but to see a lot of the beauty God had created throughout the United States.

A man that loved the Lord and was faithful in the study of His word, David enjoyed listening to southern gospel music. According to his family he was a great story teller. He had a gift of being able to entertain family and friends with his humorous stories that were sure to make you laugh. Another gift that David had was wood working. He was an excellent carpenter and could make anything you wanted out of a piece of wood. David worked for Brunson Cabinet Shop in Oologah for many years making cabinets; a job he loved.

David left his earthly home for his permanent heavenly home and his legacy will live on in the lives of his family and friends. David is survived by his children, Carter Osborne and wife Michelle, Krista Call and husband Kelly, Danette Riddle, Victoria Leute and husband David, Becky Thirion and husband Donald and daughter-in-law, Carolyn Osborne, grandchildren, Faith, Cole, Amanda, Katie, Nolan, Jordan, Garrett, Kinzie, Karsyn, Kristian and Stephanie, sisters, Mary Taylor and Wilma Mullis and husband Lester and numerous nieces and nephews.
