Wesley Dale Cargill, a longtime Cushing resident, passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 in Stillwater at the age of 60. Memorial services will be held on 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 19, 2021 at Faith Baptist Church, Cushing, Oklahoma.
Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.
Wesley was born on December 27, 1960 in Kermit, Texas to the late Jimmie Dale and Fredda (Brown) Cargill. Wes grew up in Cushing starting school here. His family moved to Homer, Michigan and they lived there for many years. They moved back to Cushing in the mid 70’s and Wes graduated from Cushing High School in 1979.
He married JoAnn McClellan in 1981. Wes was a proud father of three beautiful girls. Wes was a man of many trades throughout his lifetime. He was always a hard worker. He owned his own radiator business in Cushing.
Wes married Kami Lewis in 2001 and they made their home north of Cushing at the C4 Ranch. Wes loved living in the country raising cows, hunting, trapping, and fishing. He loved dirt track racing, which is a four-generation family tradition. His latest passion was go karts and watching his family racing them. He loved spending time with his grandkids, nephews, great nephews, and great niece teaching them his many areas of expertise.
Survivors include his wife Kami Cargill of the home, daughters Breann Todd and husband Ben, Calla Cargill, Carley Cargill, brother Jeff Cargill and wife Kristin, Bob Cargill and wife Debbie, grandchildren Kynzee, Mattilynn, Kaliber and Liam (Bacon), Father-in-law Kirk Lewis, nephews Jimmie, Nate and John Cargill and numerous extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jimmie and Fredda Cargill.
