Don Edward Cross was born June 25, 1934, to Clarence Edward and Fern Belle Cross in Cushing, Oklahoma. He departed this life August 15, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family at the age of 87.
He graduated from Cushing High School. In 1958 at Lester Lundy’s home, he was united in marriage to Patsy Arnold. From this union were born four sons, Don Jr., David, John, and Justin. He was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church.
He worked at Midland/Hudson refinery, retiring after 29 years of service. He then went on to own and operate Cross Dozer service for 33 years. He enjoyed working on the farm as well.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Patsy Cross; four sons, Don Edward Cross Jr., David Loyd Cross, John Arthur Cross and Justin Cross; two sisters, Mary Lou Wright and Shirley Grigg; five grandchildren, Jed Cross, Jess Cross, Jody Cross, Donnie Cross and John David Cross; six great grandchildren, Brooke Adams Cross, Cheyenne Cross, Sheamus Cross, Colton Cross, Hunter Cross and Bristol Cross. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00AM, Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Harrell Cemetery, Cushing, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Matherly-Davis Funeral Home. Condolences can be left at www. matherlydavisfuneralhome.com
