Funeral services for Cushing resident, Julie Foster, were held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 9, 2021 in the Oak Grove Baptist Church With Rev. Jonothan Gilliland offi ciating. Julie Carol (Henderson-McGee) Foster was born in Cushing, Oklahoma on December 10, 1954 to the late Everett Neal Henderson & Lillie Jane (Chapman) Henderson. She passed from this life suddenly at her home on September 3, 2021 at the age of 66 years, 8 months, & 24 days. Julie was raised & educated in Cushing & was a 1973 graduate of Cushing High School. She married Fred McGee on June 28, 1974 & they remined together until his death on December 28, 1999. Julie had worked as a bookkeeper for 29 years at the corporate offi ces of Maveric Mini Mart. She retired in 2020. On February 14, 2009 she married Robert Foster & they made their home in the Oak Grove area. Julie was a member of the First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ in Cushing but had attended Oak Grove Baptist Church since 2009. She enjoyed listing to music, working in her fl ower garden, going to antique & old car shows, bowling, traveling, & riding motorcycles with her husband. She loved going to garage sales & estate sales & was an avid glassware collector. In addition to her parents and fi rst husband, she is preceded in death by a GRANDSON: Ridge Foster; BROTHER-IN-LAW: Terry Tooman; GRANDPARENTS: Cecil & Verna Henderson – Dallas & Bessie Chapman; GREAT NEPHEW: Carter Lawson; & her beloved DOGS: Cricket – BitsyBessie - & KatyJo.
She is survived by her loving HUSBAND: Robert; Stepchildren: Patricia & Bryon Oestmann – J.R. Foster & Shannon; 8 Grandchildren – 13 Great Grandchildren; SISTER: Jennifer Tooman Horner & husband Earl; NEPHEWS & NIECES: Brad & Rachel Tooman, & their children: Marek – Phoebe - & Fin; Mallory Groom & her son: Silas Lawson; Josh & Gina McGee, & their children: Bailey – Teeka - & Rhys; April & Carl Amundson & their son Mason. Also, an UNCLE: Robert Johnston; and a Sister-In-Law & Brother-In-Law: Ellen & Phil Black; plus NUMEROUS cousins – other relatives - & friends.
