Karen Kay Jones was born November 22, 1943 to Oscar and Lillian Wingfield. She departed this life September 20, 2021, at the age of 77.
She graduated from Cushing High School in 1962. On November 3, 1967, Oren Jones and Karen Wingfield were united in marriage. Together they raised three children, Shelly, Julie and Frank.
She served 35 years as the Cushing Court Clerk. Karen loved serving the city of Cushing and helping others. Her favorite thing was enjoying time with her family. Karen and Oren built a great name in the Cushing area and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew them.
She is survived by one daughter, Shelly Jones Lyle and husband Bobby of Jacksonville, Florida; one son, Frank Boyles of Tulsa; five grandchildren, Jordan Lyle, Parker Lyle, Payten Lyle, Camren Staley, and Kayla Dixon; ten great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Oren Jones, daughter Julie Harper, her parents, four brothers and two sisters.
Services will be held in the Matherly-Davis Chapel on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at 11 AM.
