Barkley Rogers

Barkley was born on October 20, 1997 to proud parents Jerry and Penny Rogers. He was our gift from God. As a child, he was very loving, creative, and animated. You could not help, but to share in his joy and excitement of whatever he was doing. As he grew into a young man, his love for God grew deeper and he loved with all his heart and touched so many lives. Barkley worked as a Tulsa Zoo Teen for two years. After graduating high school, he got a job at the zoo work ing with domestic livestock and primates. Through working at the zoo, he got to fulfi ll his love and passion for all types of animals both normal and exotic. His favorite was an ornery goat named Bandit. When he got the position to work at Tulsa Community College, West Campus Advising Department it brought him great joy and he made many special friends that he treasured. Barkley was currently working at Banc-First where he found his love for fi nance and helping other people help themselves. The friends he made there, in such a short time, brought him so much joy and laughter. In July 2020, he got together with the girl of his dreams. They soon realized they were each other’s perfect person. They taught each other so many things, they laughed and cried together, they shared love of all quirky and unique things, but most important they found a deep love and acceptance that is the true human expression of God’s love. On October 3, 2021, Barkley was welcomed into the arms of Jesus. He was the light of his family’s life and will be missed so deeply by so many. He will forever be in our hearts.
