Sue Harman, 75, longtime Oilton resident passed from this life on October 21, 2021, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home. No services are scheduled at this time, but a memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at a future date.
Sue was born in Paul’s Valley, Oklahoma to proud parents William and Alma (Fillman) Bryan. She was raised in Antioch, Oklahoma graduating from Elmore City High School with the Class of 1964. Shortly before graduation, she married the love of her life, James Harmon on December 27, 1963, at her parent’s home in Antioch. They moved to Oilton in 1965 where they would live and raise their family. Sue went to work at Pope’s grocery in 1969 and continued working for Sammy Ballard when he purchased the grocery store in 1974. She worked there for many years until going to work at Jiff y Trip in Oilton. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed the fellowship with her friends there. She will be forever known for her famous popcorn balls. Multiple generations would come by for one each year on Halloween.
Sue is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her loving husband of over 57 years, James; her children, Brian and wife Stacy Harmon of Oilton, and Guylita Harman; siblings, Jorg and husband Jerry Bateman, Stacy Braswell, Pat and husband Gary Armstrong and their children; grandchildren, Spenser Barnes, Blake Barnes, Hannah Barnes and Dylan Mc-Combs, Alee Harmon and Tristan Warnock, Raegan Harmon, Addy Harmon; great-grandchildren, Brayton Barnes, Saige McCombs, Raelyn McCombs, and Kymber Warnock.
