Karl LaVon Baker was born April 20, 1948, to Pete and Marie Baker in Cushing, Oklahoma. He departed this life December 1, 2021, at the age of 73.
After graduating from Cushing, Karl enlisted to serve his country in the United States Air Force from 1968 to 1970. He was a member of the Park Place Baptist Church.
On April 9, 1974, Karl and Barbara were united in marriage. From this union were born six children, Travis, Edward, William, Barbara, Karla, and Heather.
He had several things he enjoyed including, fishing, camping, taking care of his critters, rabbits, chickens, and his dogs. His true passion in life was spending time with his family. He was crazy over his grandkids and there was nothing he wouldn’t do to make them happy.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; five children, Edward Baker and wife, Tina Patton, William Baker, Barbara Tharp and husband Jesse, Karla Miller and husband Matt, Heather Henderson; ten grandchildren, Ashlee, Tyler, Morgan, Moriah, Timber, Preston, Paige, Olivia, Shelby and Aimee; four great grandchildren, Kadent, Jansyn, Lincoln, and Caislyn. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Travis Baker and one brother, Danny Baker.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00AM, Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at the Park Place Baptist Church with Reverend Vic Morlan officiating. Services are under the direction of Matherly-Davis Funeral Home. Condolences can be seen at www.matherlydavisfuneralhome.com
