• January 24, 2012 - December 6, 2021
Greyson Tayler Davidson departed from our lives on December 6, 2021. Greyson was only nine years old; but he had enough love in his heart to last a lifetime. Greyson was a beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend.
The son of Clarinda Engelke and Brad and Sarah Davidson, Greyson was born on January 24, 2012, in Cushing, Oklahoma. He was welcomed into the world by his parents, older brothers, and extended family. Greyson had a smile that could light up a room and arms that would give the best hugs for a little fella. He last attended school at Perkins-Tryon Intermediate School and was in the third grade with Ms. Matlin McCray as his teacher and Donna Boles as his principal. Greyson loved to be outside. He enjoyed going fi shing, swimming, camping, splash pads, snow cones, fi reworks and getting into trouble with his brothers: Landon, Preston, and Brandon. He was a caring big brother to baby sister, Kimberlyn. All the brothers were so excited when they found out they were having a baby sister. Greyson became a protective big brother the day Kimberlyn came home from the hospital after she was born. Greyson could be found playing outside barefooted with his little brother, Brandon. Brandon would follow Greyson around in his footsteps, which were normally found in the red Oklahoma mud. Greyson could pester his older brothers with a smile on his face and love in his heart. Climbing trees, camping with the boys and their dad, Brad, while going to Stroud Lake for fi shing were some of the best memories to be had with Greyson. He was so excited when it came to fi shing, he would stand on the banks and squeal with excitement. Even swimming out at his grandparent’s pool with his family and cousins, Greyson loved to be with his family. Greyson always wanted to have the fi rst pick when his “Uncle” Mikey would bring candy ring pops over, for he always wanted the green one and any extra ones that “Uncle” Mikey would bring. His smile said it all when he ate “Aunt” Leslie’s lasagna and could always count on an extra helping when no one was looking as well as a trip to get snow cones in the summertime. Greyson enjoyed dressing up for Halloween and hunting for eggs at Easter. He loved Marvel movies and his favorite character was the Hulk, green, just like his favorite color. Greyson was fascinated with the smallest details which normally distracted him so he would fl ash that sweet, precious smile and his eyes would light up to get him out of trouble. Greyson had a heart that was tender and caring. Just like his desire to always tell you that he loved you several times a day- as if he knew he had to tell us all while he was here so it could last a lifetime. He was such a special child. Greyson enjoyed going to church with his Granny, he knew in his heart about the Lord and Heaven gained a little hero the day he left.
Greyson is survived by his mother, Clarinda Engelke; his father, Brad Davidson and his wife, Sarah Davidson; his brothers: Alias Engelke, Landon, Preston and Brandon Davidson; and his sister, Kimberlyn. Paternal grandparents: Gary and Tammye Davidson; maternal grandparents: David and Phyllis Engelke; and maternal great grandpa, Jack Kennedy. Aunt Amber Davidson and her children; “Uncle” Mike and “Aunt” Leslie Yager; Great Aunt Jackie Kennedy; Great Aunt Allison Louis and her family; friends and the City of Perkins, Oklahoma. He is proceeded in death by his Great Grandmother, Cassie Kennedy; Grandmother, Denae’ Kennedy; Paternal grandfather, David Cox and his beloved dog, Tee Tee, who was with Greyson that day.
