Earl “Randy” Wessel

Earl Randall “Randy” Wessel was born on December 15, 1959 in Hominy, Ok to Earl Lee and Patsy Ann (Gaskins) Wessel. He grew up in Oilton, graduating from Oilton High School in 1978. He married the love of his life, Carol Sue Skidmore, on September 23, 1983 in Grove, Ok. They made their home in Yale, Ok. You always knew where Randy was in town by his very distinguishable tan and camo Nissan truck. Randy was a very hard worker and always made sure his family was provided for. He worked for the oilFIeld, and then as a train conductor for a few years. He worked at Webco as a Mill Operator for 10 years. Currently, he was a terminal operator at Rose Rock Midstream/ Energy Transfer. He is a charter member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Yale. Randy enjoyed hunting animals of all kinds, FIshing, camping, and gardening. He loved being in the great outdoors. He was a talented taxidermist on the side. He most recently had gotten into wooden bow and arrow making. This year, he used his self-made bow to shoot his biggest deer ever. Randy was a man of many talents and was sought after for help with projects of all kinds. Anyone who knew Randy will have some kind of memory of him teasing or pranking them, but that just meant he loved you.

Randy went to Heaven on December 26th, 2021. Survivors include his wife Carol of the home, parents Earl Lee and Patsy Ann Wessel of Oilton, children Matthew Randall Wessel and wife Georgia of Stillwater, Whitney Spears and husband Aaron of Pawnee, Emily McFarlin and husband Seth of Yale, brothers Maurice Wessel and wife Robin of Edmond, Tony Wessel and wife Lori of Oilton, sister Robyn Ann Bohannon and husband Eddie of Oilton, grandchildren Laynee, Easton and Reeve Wessel, and numerous other family and friends.

Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing and will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 31, 2021 in the Yale Assembly of God in Yale, OK with Brother Mich Dershem ofFIciating.
