Joyce Bernice Barrett Cramer was born February 25, 1946, in Phoenix, Arizona. She passed away January 12, 2022, in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Joyce was the daughter of the late Elmer and Willie Barrett.
On May 1, 1965, she married the love of her life, John Emmitt Cramer. To this union were born two sons, John Emmitt Jr., and Kevin Roy Cramer. They also raised their granddaughter, Gina Cramer as their daughter.
Joyce was baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn on November 27, 1960, in Fresno, California.
In the beginning they made their home in Tulare, California. As construction workers they lived in many places such as, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, South Carolina and finally Oklahoma.
They loved to travel seeing all fifty states and Canada. Joyce loved to just get in the car and go down the road. She also loved visiting with friends and family and reminiscing about the old times.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Millie Gwaltry, Pat Gipson and Norma Jean Lumpkin; brothers, Lloyd Barrett, Dale Barrett, Troy Barrett, Ray Barrett and Arthur Barrett; granddaughter, Makala Cramer.
She is survived by her husband John Cramer of the home; two sons, John Cramer Jr. and wife Brenda of Osage, Iowa and Kevin Cramer of Perkins, Oklahoma; daughter, Gina Cramer of Enid, Oklahoma; daughter in law, Debbie Haley of Cushing, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Jonathan and Jerred Cramer of Osage, Iowa, Hillary, Matt and Brandon of Osage, Iowa, Eric, Kyla and Abby Cramer of Perkins, Oklahoma; one great grandson, Ryan Everly of Enid, Oklahoma.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30AM, Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at Cushing Church of the Firstborn. Interment will follow at Tryon city Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Matherly-Davis Funeral Home. Condolences can be left at www. matherlydavisfuneralhome.com
