Martin Jackson Jones Jr. was born June 9, 1943, to Martin Jackson Jones Sr. and Nora Mae (Curtis) Jones in Cushing, Oklahoma. He departed this life January 16, 2022, at the age of 78.
He attended Cushing public schools. He was a lifelong resident of Cushing. He worked in the oil and gas industry as a gauger for Teppco.
Jack had many things he enjoyed such as old cars, muscle cars, especially 1957 Chevy’s, and going to salvage yards pulling parts. He also enjoyed spending time with his dogs which he claimed were his best friends.
He is survived by his true best friend and former wife, Kay Jones who was so kind and patient to care for him during his illness; three children, Martin Jackson Jones III, Justin Jones, and Shanaia Richardson; one brother, Kenny Jones Sr.; seven grandchildren, Trisha Mosley, Curtis Mosley, Jaylea Jones, Phobe Jones, Max Jones, Avery Jones, and Journey Richardson; one great grandchild, Cooper East. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Jacqueline Jones, two brothers, Jimmy, and Bobby “Dude” Jones, four sisters, Wanda Coughran, Shirley Parker, Carolyn Van Hauen, and Betsy Todd.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00PM, Friday, January 21, 2022, at the Crossway Church with Pastor Sonny Johnston offi ciating. Interment will follow at the Euchee Valley Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of Matherly-Davis Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.
