The Quilting Hut opened its doors on July 1 and last Wednesday on July 20 the Cushing Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony at the business located at 106 North Harrison in the Broadway District of Cushing.
The owner, Brenda Shiplett, said she never would have thought she would turn a hobby into a business. When asked how it started she gave a hearty laugh and blamed it on her mother.
