Shirley Ann Greenfield passed away in her home with her family by her side on August 15, 2022. Her arrangements have been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing, Oklahoma. Shirley was born on August 9, 1939, to Homer Vincent and Doris Lorraine (Newman) Anderson. When she was sixteen years old, Shirley married her sweetheart, Lionel Dale Greenfield in Cushing, OK. To this union were born 4 children. She was baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn in 1987.
Shirley enjoyed playing board games. Some of her favorite ones were Yahtzee and Wahoo. Another one of her favorite past times was hitting her son-in-law Kevin with a flyswatter during a Wahoo match. She loved to crochet. Everyone in her family has received at least one of the many blankets she created. Her greatest loves were her grandchildren. In fact, her grandchildren are what she lived for. Earlier this year, Shirley got to go see Tanya Tucker and was absolutely enamored.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lionel Dale Greenfield, her three sons Billy Dale Greenfield, Jimmy Carl Greenfield, Ricky Eugene Greenfield and her sister Janet Burroughs.
She is survived by her daughter Sandra Lorraine Conforti and husband Kevin of Tryon, OK; brother Louie Eugene Anderson of Goodman, MO; three grandchildren, Sandra Ann Lorraine Wooten and husband Steven, Ricky Dale Chester and Victoria Bridendolph; eight great-grandchildren, Ethan Wooten, Aiden Wooten, Alayna Wooten, Shane Dale Chester, Raylynn Chester and three others.
A visitation will be on from 3:00PM – 8:00PM on Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing, OK. The family will be present from 6:00PM – 8:00PM. Graveside services will be at 11:00AM on Friday, August 19, 2022, at the Parkland Cemetery in Parkland, Oklahoma.
