Mrs. Alzada Hazel Oliver Gallagher, recently of Nashville, Tennessee and formerly of Worthington, Ohio, passed away on August 20, 2022. She was 83 years old. Alzada was born in Lyons, Kansas on December 2, 1938, to Paul William Oliver and Ruth Harris Oliver. She was the oldest of four siblings. She graduated from Cushing High School in Cushing, Oklahoma in 1956 and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma, and her graduate degree from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Her decades-long career in nursing culminated in her position as Vice President of Patient Services at St. Ann’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio and subsequently Westerville, Ohio. She was never happier than when she was traveling the world with her family, cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes or Oklahoma Sooners in football, shopping with friends, or spoiling her beloved Scottish Terriers. Alzada is survived by her husband of almost fifty years, Paul Robert Gallagher; daughter Brooke (Jason) Reusch; grandchildren Robert “Robbie” and Caroline Reusch; sisters Gwen (Richard) Arcara and Marilyn Gilbert; brother- in-law Edward Eugene “Gene” Gallagher; sister-in-law Beryl Gallagher Chickerella; five nieces and nephews; several cousins, many good friends; and devoted Scottie, Mac. She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul William Oliver and Ruth Harris Oliver; her brother, Paul William Oliver, Jr.; and her nephew Jeffrey Neil Scott. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 17 at 10:00 am in the chapel at Resurrection Cemetery located at 9571 North High Street in Lewis Center, OH.
