Jimmie Dale Wright was born February 4, 1947, to George Washington and Iva Mae Wright in Cushing, Oklahoma. He departed this life, October 8, 2022, at the age of 75.
He served his country in the United States Army. On January 5, 1965, Jimmie Dale Wright and Linda Sams were united in marriage. From this union were born two sons, Jimmie and Jerry. He worked for Pepsi Cola retiring after 40 years of service. He was a faithful member of the Olive First Baptist Church. Jim had many things he enjoyed in retirement such as, flying his airplane, restoring airplanes, riding motorcycles, fishing, and water skiing. He enjoyed taking things that were broke and putting them back in working order.
He is survived by his wife of fiftyseven years, Linda Wright; two sons, Jimmie Wright Jr., Jerry Wright and wife Keth; four grandchildren, Seth Wayne Wright and wife Megan, Steven Tyler Wright, Alison Wright and Jessica Sue Wright; four great grandchildren, Taylor Wright, Maddison Wright, Jackson Wright, and Alexandria Wright. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, George, Denzil, Cecil, and Raymond Wright; one sister, Imogene Shields. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, October 13, 2022 at the Olive First Baptist Church.
Services are under the direction of Matherly-Davis Funeral Home in Cushing, Oklahoma.
