Herbert Ray Hockemeyer

July 2, 1944 December 9, 2022 Herbert Ray Hockemeyer was born on July 2, 1944 to the late Arthur Otto Hockemeyer and Murle Winnie Maynard On August 24, 1964 Herb married the love of his life who Hitchhiked to Oklahoma where he met Melinda and fell in love and into this union 5 girls were born. In 1980, they settled on the family farm near Avery, Oklahoma. One of their main goals was to make sure all their girls graduated high school.

He served in the Navy. After he worked at the Chevrolet garage in Cushing, Bray lines trucking in Cushing and Arkansas ,and Ace Hardware in Cushing.

He enjoyed listening to music, spending time outdoors at car swap meets and car and bike shows. He loved his kids and grandkids and great grandkids and enjoyed spending time with them. Herb is preceded in death by his Parents, and wife Melinda 2 Siblings; William Chester Hockemeyer and Johnny Charles Hockemeyer and Daughter Dorita Ann (Hockemeyer) Lee. He is survived by his Sister Norma Smith of Cushing and his step son Leo Peistrup, and girls Christine Mayes, Annette Conner and Husband Jerry, Little Melinda (Mo) Hockemeyer, and Pamela Grayson.

His grandchildren: Christopher Hockemeyer, Donita Smith and husband R.J., Thomas Anderson, Cherokee Lee, Brandon Anderson, Teshera Frantz, Nikita Cash and Husband James, Dhakotah Orman and wife Hollie, Zachary Johnson, Tykota Hockemeyer, Jacob Durham, Wyatt Hockemeyer, and Alexis Hockemeyer. Plus 4 Bonus Grandchildren Brock Conner, Calista (Christy) Orman, Sarah Conner, and Elizabeth Cook.

Also many Nieces, Nephews, Great grandbabies and other family members and friends.
