Rose Marie Dennis was born March 8, 1930, in Ripley, Oklahoma to parents Harmon D. and Viola (Reddout) Todd. She passed from this life on March 27, 2023, in Stillwater, Oklahoma at the age of 93. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.
Rose attended school in Ripley and was a lifelong resident of Payne County in the Ripley/Cushing areas. She married William (Bill) Dennis on December 24, 1947, and was married for 67 years before his passing in April of 2014. She was a devoted homemaker and raised the family before going to work at Drake’s Country Store for 23 years. She enjoyed outdoor gardening and taking care of the lawn.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill; both parents; one sister, LaBertha (Todd) Stephens, three brothers, Crystal Todd, Dewey Todd, and Keith Todd; and one grandson, Dash Austin Dennis.
Rose is survived by one brother, Ralph Todd and wife Fran; two sons and their wives, Tommy and Carol Dennis, and Eugene and Linda Dennis; grandchildren, Rhiannon Dennis and Kristin Beitz; four great-grandchildren, Sheridan Battles, Zaya Battles, Kaylin Beitz, and Jensen Beitz, and several nieces and nephews.
A private family burial will be held as were Rose’s wishes.
