Jimmie Howard Dinwiddie was born May 31, 1943 to Leslie Howard and Dorothy Wanda Dinwiddie in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He departed this life June 11, 2023 at the age of 80.
He graduated from Drumright High School in 1961. On August 5, 1962 Jimmie Howard Dinwiddie and Patricia Ann Christy were united in marriage. From this union were born two children, Donald Howard and Jimi Ann.
Jimmie also served his country in the Army National Guard in 1961. He retired from the City of Drumright where he served as gas superintendent. He was also a member of the Drumright Church of Christ.
He had many hobbies he enjoyed including fishing, rebuilding old cars, building model airplanes, woodworking, making jewelry, horseback riding, and antiquing. His pride and joy were his children and grandchildren. You could most often find him attending events that involved his children and grandchildren. He will be missed by all who know him. He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Patty Dinwiddie; one son, Donald Howard Dinwiddie and wife Amy; one daughter, Jimi Ann Dotson and husband Marty; one sister, Kay Sutton and husband Fred; grandchildren, Brent Dinwiddie and wife Alicia, Brandy Baugh and husband, Brad, Christopher Flatt and wife Ruby, Ashley Watson and husband LaVon, Jack Dotson and wife Amber, Jacob Flatt and wife Lyndsey, and Collin Dodd; great grandchildren, Austin and Allyson Dinwiddie, Keaton and Hallee Baugh, Taylor, Kayden, Kenny and Christopher II Flatt, Aurora Watson, Remington Dotson, Evie, Ethan, and Emerson Flatt. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Ronald Howard Dinwiddie.
Funeral services were held on Friday, June 16, 2023 at the Cushing Church of Christ. Interment followed at Euchee Valley Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of Matherly Davis Funeral Home.
