Cindy Ann O’Kelley passed from this life on Saturday, June 8, 2024, in Cushing, OK at the age of 60.
Cindy was born on December 26, 1963, to Janice (Lynch) and Stanley Pickard in Edmond, OK. She was bap - tized at St. John's Catholic Church in Edmond. She grew up in the Edmond area and graduated from Deer Creek High School in 1982.
While in school, Cindy was an excellent and competitive basketball player. She shared the love of the game with all her family.
Cindy married Pat O’Kelley on
August 20, 1982, at St. John's Catholic Church in Edmond, but later divorced. They have 2 lov - ing children together: Ashley and Christopher.
In her professional life Cindy held varies positions including being the small business owner of TCB Ovce Supplies and most recently as the Safety & Environmental Manager at Deeprock Energy Re- sources.
When Cindy wasn’t working, she enjoyed being active in the com- munity and loved helping others.
She was active in the Safety Alliance of Cushing and was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She was always active with things she loved, working in her yard, building crafts for her grandkids, and watching her Dallas Cowboys play. Cindy loved being a mother and a friend, but her favorite activity of all was being the best Nana in the world, which she excelled at. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She attended all her kid’s and grandkid’s sport- ing and school events. Cindy went above and beyond to host all the holidays at her house with her family, making each holiday a fun and unique experience for the entire family. She will be greatly missed.
Cindy is preceded in death by her parents, Janice and Stanly Pick- ard; one sister, Linda Slabotsky.
Cindy is survived by two children, Ashley Joiner and husband, Bryan, Christopher O’Kelley and wife, Jana; five grandchildren, Hunter, Madison, Finley, Allie, and Charlie; one brother, Derick Pickard; nieces and nephews, Kyle, Kari, Taylor, Mason, Marc, and Bradley, and other numerous relatives.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Fu- neral Home. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Fri day, June 14, 2024, at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Cindy's name to Hunting ton’s Disease Society of America Oklahoma Chapter.
