Teresa Lynn Laney, 66 years young, of Cushing, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at home with family surrounding her with love.
Teresa was a very lovely woman who would give a shirt or a hand to anyone who needed it. She was funny, lovable, charismatic but most of all, a friend, sister, and companion. She had a one-time love, Glenn, and they both worked on the carnival route for some time until Glenn became ill and Teresa took care of him until his passing. She loved going to the Cushing Senior Center and seeing all of her friends playing the games, bingo and singo, and winning the prizes. Teresa also loved birthday cake days, muffi n days, and cinnamon roll days. Teresa loved to go camping! And was able to go camping with a few of her friends a couple of weeks before her illness. She was affi liated with Church of Christ and believed in Jesus Christ! Teresa is preceded in death by her mother, Ollie Mae Dickey; her son, Terry Sissom; and her one-time love, Glenn Sissom.
She is survived by her brother, Everett Laney and his wife, Suson, of Muskogee, Oklahoma; and her sister, JoAnne Williams of Cushing. Friends and family will attend a graveside funeral. For anyone wanting to attend, please contact JoAnne at 918-306-3694.
