Earlene Virginia Whitehead

Earlene was born in Maud, Oklahoma to the late Earl Henry Mendenhall & Rachel Edna (Adams) Mendenhall. She passed from this life in Cushing on May 8, 2026 at the age of 88 Years, 10 months, & 9 days. Earlene was raised & educated all over Oklahoma and was a graduate of New Lima High School. She then attended business school in Shawnee where she learned to be a bookkeeper. She retired as a payroll clerk for Wonder Bread Bakery. On February 28, 1958 she married David William Whitehead in Oilton and they made their home in the Olive area ever since. She enjoyed sewing – quilting – cooking – and for many years was a representative for Watkins Spices. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 Brothers: Jerry – Robert - & Kenneth Mendenhall; 1 Sister: Maxine Mendenhall; & a Grandson: Travis Young.

She leaves behind her loving Husband: David Whitehead; 2 Daughters: Christa Greenfield of Bristow – Jeanne Chaloupek & husband Darrell of Olive; Grandchildren: Dalton – Jessica – Devin – Rylan; Great Grandchildren: Carlie – Colten – Tryton – Rowdy – Camri – Natalie – Brody; Great Great Grandchildren: Amelia – Addalyn – Marlie – Bellamy - + 1` on the way; 1 Brother: Joe Mendenhall of Yale; 2 Sisters: Rita Sneed & husband Leslie of Yale – Carolyn Copeland of Broken Arrow; PLUS several Nieces – Nephews – Cousins - & other family members & friends.
