Eulene Joan Hixson

Eulene Joan Hixson (Robison), a beloved lifelong resident of Yale, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 12, 2026, in Pawnee, Oklahoma. Born on December 7, 1930, to Mary Adeline and William (Bud) Shelby Dobson, Eulene’s life was marked by enduring love, dedication to family, and a deep connection to her community.

Eulene cherished the simple joys of life — her talents in cooking and feeding those she cared for were well known, as was her green thumb through gardening and canning. She was hardworking and devoted on the farm, finding comfort in the rhythms of rural living. Music held a special place in her heart, especially the sound of her husband Prince’s singing, whose presence was a source of great joy. Later in life, Eulene found her true soulmate in Prince Darling Hixson, with whom she shared many fond years. Her faith was important to her, and she was an active member of the Assembly of God Church.

Eulene was a proud mother of four children: Mary “Susie” Cude (husband Gary), Peggy Kathleen Newton (husband Skipper), Candy Lynn Overholt, and Robert Earl Morris (wife Paula). Among her closest family were her sister-inlaw, Robbie Nell Oberbeck, and her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought light to her life.

She is survived by her daughters Peggy Kathleen Newton and Candy Lynn Overholt. Sister-inlaw, Robbie Nell Oberbeck. She also leaves behind nine devoted grandchildren: Kevin Cude, Lisa Lewis (husband Troy), Kymberly Cude, Emily Morris, Brad Morris, Casey Munger (husband Ryan), Robbie Lynn Hawkins and (husband Kevin), Braden Morris, and Addie Morris. The family legacy continues with fourteen greatgrandchildren: Jennifer Cude, Matt Cude, Cody Lewis, Jacob Lewis, Samuel Spencer, Emma Wood, Sidney Hawkins, Kayla Hawkins, Gibson Munger, Haleigh Lann, Courtney Newton, Charlie Munger, Graycee Newton and Gentry Gleghorn.
