COVID-19 cases on upswing in Payne County
According to the latest Oklahoma State Department of Health data released at 11 a.m. Wednesday, there are currently three active cases of COVID-19 in the Cushing area.
According to OSDH, there have been 24 positive cases of COVID-19 in Cushing since testing began, with one death and 20 recoveries.
In the Cimarron Valley area, Ripley is reporting one active case. Perkins is reporting seven active cases with a total of 14 reported and seven recovered.
Oilton is reporting no active cases, but that town had one positive test and that individual succumbed to the disease.
Agra has one active case With three positive tests, one death and one recovery.
Yale is reporting no active cases with three reported and three recoveries.
Tryon had one reported case and that individual also recovered.
Payne County as a whole is eighth among Oklahoma’s 77 counties for the highest number of positive tests.
Currently there are 133 active cases of COVID-19 in Payne County, 120 of those are reported in Stillwater.
