The Cushing Middle School Academic Team recently won the Oklahoma Junior Academic Bowl Association Regional Championship in Byng, and are advancing to state-level competition.
According to Cushing Middle School teacher Carmella Kelley, the last time Cushing Middle School sent a team to state was in the early 2000s. The state academic meet will be held at Dale High School, April 17.
