Tigers 3-0 going into district play

After Friday night’s 27-17 win over the Berryhill Chiefs, The Cushing Tigers were elevated to 3-0 on the season and Tiger Head Coach Rusty Morgan told his team that now was the time to be mature and be humble about the position they were in.

Cushing Cross Country boys and girls take conference titles

After three races, both girls and boys Cushing Tiger cross country teams are ranked among the top 20 in the state “We have a very positive outlook on the rest of the season,” said head coach Nathan Reed. “We’re looking to get both teams qualified for state for the first time since 2016.” Both girls and boys teams claimed the Tulsa7 conference championships.

The Cushing Lady Tigers opened the Tulsa 7 Conference Tournament against Cleveland. The tourney was switched from a double to single elimination event due to rain, putting much more importance on each game.

Tigers top Perkins, go to 2-0

The Cushing Tigers football team took their record to 2-0 with a hard-fought 27-7 win over the Perkins-Tryon Demons Friday. After a reasonably successful ground victory over Bristow a week earlier, Perkins was ready for the run and the Tigers quickly learned that if they were going to move the ball, they would have to take to the air.

Conference Champs!

The Cushing Lady Tigers defeated Perkins Tryon last week to claim the Tulsa 7 Conference championship. The girls are now 17-4.

Tigers beat rival Bristow

The Cushing Tigers stopped a late-game scoring drive from the Bristow Pirates to earn an important 19-15 win in their season opener, at home, Friday. The Tigers put seven on the board with less than a minute remaining in the fi rst quarter when Hayden Fry banged his way 37 yards into the end zone and the score was 7-0.

Bogle overcomes first moto crash to finish in top 20

Justin Bogle and team Rocky Mountain ATV/MC-KTM-WPS headed to the Midwest for round three of the 2020 Pro Motocross Championship series at Ironman MX in Crawfordsville, IN. His teammate, Blake Baggett once again raced to a top-10 fi nish while Bogle overcame a crazy fi rst-moto crash to put in a top-20 ride.

Lady Tigers unbeaten in district play

The Cushing Lady Tigers closed out the Prague Tournament with a second place fi nish, falling to Latta, 11-5. Lady Tiger head Coach Nikki York was happy with her team’s overall performance during the last week.

Olive receives rescue boat

Olive Firefi ghters spent this morning training with our new rescue Boat, a 2020 Oceanid Infl atable Rapid Deployment Craft paid for by the Gary Sinise Foundation. The RDC allows rescuers to quickly deploy and reach a victim in swiftwater, fl oodwater, ponds, lakes, rivers, snow or ice.
