The sound of a chainsaw rang through downtown Cushing Saturday, as a city crew removed four Bradford pear trees growing along the east side of the 100 block of Harrison. City Manager Terry Brannon said the trees had to go primarily because they were beginning to buckle the concrete sidewalk.
