The Cushing Fire Department was out at Memorial Park to do the annual firework display for community members this past Independence Day. Spectators delighted in the splash of colors and the burst of light but few of them understood what work went into the 25-minute display.
According to department members Mark Beitz and James Blevins, each year a full three days of prep has to be done for the show.
