Halle York won the 8/9 year-old hoop shoot contest held in Kingfisher earlier this month, advancing to the state competition, which will be held Feb. 18 in Enid. Halle hit 18 of 25 from the freethrow line to claim the divisional title. She will be competing against divisional champions from across the state.
