Hundreds of shoppers, kids, kids at heart, and believers turned out Saturday for Cushing’s first-ever Downtown Christmas Market, spearheaded by Megan Newman, owner of Be-YOU-ti-ful Boutique, downtown. More than a dozen vendors off ering hot chocolate, gift ideas, food and a petting zoo, joined local shoppers, and put up with the cool temperatures and wind to help kick off the Christmas Season in Cushing’s Broadway District.
The Payne County Facilities Authority last week approved using excess sales tax revenue for upgrades and repairs to the county jail.
