Cushing transfer station opening delayed

CUSHING — The City of Cushing recently announced a change to the schedule for its monthly transfer station opening due to the Independence Day holiday.The transfer station, which is typically open on the first Saturday of each month, will not operate on this coming Saturday, July 4.

Cushing couple sentenced in rural burglary case

STILLWATER — A Cushing man who previously lived in Tryon and his fiancée have admitted breaking into buildings east of Cushing from which a large amount of property was stolen, including trailers, a car hauler, a tractor, tools and a lawn mower between Feb. 14 and March 11, court records show.

Cushing tax collections rise in June distribution

The Oklahoma Tax Commission distributed June sales and use tax collections to cities and towns on June 8. The payments primarily represent local tax receipts from April business, along with estimated sales from May 1 through May 15 for larger companies required to file electronically.
