CUSHING — Kale Robison, a member of the Cushing FFA chapter, is a candidate for state FFA office. Running for the office of Central area vice president, he faces the opportunity to serve over 29,000 Oklahoma FFA members.

“It is a necessary evil” CUSHING — A recent cost of service and rate study presentation was given to Cushing Municipal Authority members in which rate increases for water, sewer, and electric were proposed.No action was taken by trustees during the Feb.
A groundbreaking ceremony for Payne County Bank’s upcoming Cushing location was held on Feb. 24. The anticipated opening date for the new business is Sept. 1 and will offer Saturday banking services. Lynn Kinder explained the bank will be 100 percent employee owned; he said, “It will not only be located in the community but will be a part of the community”. SHAMROCK - Get ready for fire trucks and Irish cheer as the Shamrock Volunteer Rural Fire Department prepares to host the 109th Annual St. Patrick’s Parade and fundraiser on March 15 starting at 11:30 a.m. As usual, Fire Chief Keith Weaver said he expects plenty of fun, food, and festivities.
