Cushing man charged fentanyl case

Cushing resident Billy Joe Grandstaff was recently scheduled to have a preliminary hearing in November for three different counts filed against him — trafficking illegal drugs, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and transporting an opened container of an alcoholic beverage.
Our sun experienced a coronal mass ejection Thursday, a phenomenon that occurs regularly, in varying levels of intensity, where the sun emits a large cloud of energy and charged electrons into space. Thursday’s event threw a large mass of energy toward Earth and when these particles came into contact with Earth’s magnetic field, they lit up the skies with the Aurora Borealis as far south as Oklahoma as evidenced in this photo, taken Sunday night, southwest of Cushing. $25 million county budget approved

Includes across the board pay raises for county employees STILLWATER — The Payne County Budget Board Monday approved the county’s amended 2024-2025 Fiscal Year budget at $25,317,149.32 and approved an across-the-board-pay raise for county employees.
The City of Cushing power distribution team held a coloring contest for the students at Cushing Upper and Lower Elementary. First, second, and third place winners were selected by team members and awarded their prizes last week during Public Power Week.
