CUSHING — On August 24, Tricia and Ray McGinnis of Cushing, and parents of the late Scott A. McGinnis, presented to Coleton Dallas the Scott A. McGinnis Memorial Scholarship.This endowed scholarship was established in 2003 following the tragic death of Scott.

AMI electric installation to be completed soon

CUSHING - The ongoing installation of Automatic Meter Infrastructure (AMI) for electric is nearing completion, according to Interim City Manager Derek Griffith.“About 60 days is my goal to have that up and operational,” Griffith said last week.

TULSA — Five critically endangered Malayan tiger cubs are doing well after being born at the Tulsa Zoo. They were born overnight on August 8 and 9, to mother, Ava, and father, Raja. There are three male cubs and two female cubs.
