CUSHING — A special meeting of the City of Cushing Board of Commissioners and Municipal Authority Trustees was held on March 4 during which all items were approved. The meeting was necessary due to a contract deadline which would come up before the next regular meeting.

CUSHING — The Cushing Public Schools’ Tiger Trails project will be constructed in three phases with the first phase beginning this month, according to Superintendent Melissa Amon.

CUSHING — Cushing City Manager Terry Brannon delivered what he called his last state of the city address in front of a full house at the Fechner Event Center last Wednesday.Brannon said that he would be transitioning out.

Cushing PEO presents local scholarship

The Cushing Philanthropic Educational Organization (PEO) presented the Program for Continuing Education Scholarship to Cushing resident Jamie Haney during the February meeting hosted by Lou Griffin.Since its inception in 1869, PEO has provided millions of scholarships and loans to women nationwide.
