CUSHING - Republican Dr. Randy Grellner, of Cushing, announced late last week his intent to run for Oklahoma State Senate, representing District 21, in a bid to fill the seat currently held by Sen. Tom Duggar, R-Stillwater. In September of this year, Duggar announced his retirement.

Cushing School Board approves district encumbrances

CUSHING - Cushing Public School Board of Education met for their regular meeting on Dec. 7 to discuss routine matters before the holiday break. According to Superintendent Melissa Amon, everything that was posted on the agenda was approved including a list of encumbrances totaling over $350,000.

CUSHING - The final showing of “It’s a Wonderful Life: A live radio play” presented by Cushing Community Theatre was Saturday, Dec. 16. The production had Christina Chestnut sitting in the director’s chair — according to her, it was her first big production at the theatre.
