STILLWAER - Author E. Joe Brown will be visiting his hometown Cushing on January 25 for a book signing of the second installment of an “at least” five book series, according to Brown, known as The Kelly Can Saga at Cushing Public Library.

Warm December Caps Warm 2023

Jan. 8, 2023 December was unusually warm across all of Oklahoma, and uncommonly wet across the northwestern third. A prolonged absence of Arctic air led to the state’s fourth warmest December since records began in 1895, and contributed to 2023’s rank as the 10th warmest calendar year.
Agra School Superintendent Jeff Kelly supervises district students — Bella McIntire, Garrett Smith, Jayden Kelly, Trey Kelly, and Talyne Iverson as they plant 2,000 tulip bulbs over winter break. This project is a continuation from last year when the district sold tulips as a fundraiser. Kelly said he is expecting 1,000 bulbs from last year to return for a total of 3,000-tulips ready to be sold come Easter. Cost is expected to be $3 each or $10 for four, bulb included.
